About this prototype & what is real
Real: audio playback, native seeking, pause, volume, fullscreen, tape selection, and an oscilloscope and level meter driven by the actual audio signal. No track starts automatically, including after a track ends.
Tapes 01–02: No Bus To Catch (film) and Waters Run (audio with the supplied cover). Web playback copies are used; original masters remain unchanged. Tapes 03–06: locally generated demonstration sketches with placeholder artwork, labelled DEMO. The bench is a generated photograph; the tape mechanism is decorative. The instruments show a mono waveform and approximate digital RMS level, not calibrated analogue VU readings.
Implementation: photographic scenery is separate from the HTML player, canvas instruments and catalogue data. On smaller screens the working equipment stacks vertically to keep controls usable. Replace the individual equipment photographs with transparent cutouts for a later, more physically integrated version.
